HALT/HASS Test Chamber
What is HALT/HASS testing?
HALT testing is a method of stress testing for enhancing the reliability of products in development to find design weaknesses. This can lower costs and time to market through early detection.
HASS or also known as HAST, can then be used to test your new product for possible problems caused by new manufacturing processes before it’s introduced into the market and for ongoing quality testing to expose manufacturing defects.
This method of testing is applicable for many industries such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, medical, consumer products and defence
The Highly Accelerated Life Testing/Highly Accelerated Stress Screening, HALT/HASS Test Chamber from Weiss Technik is an integrated test chamber with vibration table packages. The vibration table has six degrees of freedom with tri-axial pneumatic vibration.
This system has:
- Multi-directional air flow
- Full table access
- Universal port
- Front & rear door opening
The cryogenic cooling system, with modulating valve and directed air flow to the product, provides the rapid thermal change rates of up to 70°C/min, needed to achieve maximum product stress.
Additionally, these rates are accomplished with smaller space requirements, lower audible noise, no water requirements, and lower maintenance costs than a typical refrigeration system.
A flexible solution for HALT/HASS, with or without temperature, can also be provided by using a moveable vibration table, requiring a small footprint and reduced equipment. Contact us if you would like more details.
